Random Summer

Okay, so this Summer has been crazy... Here are some random things that I have come across.....

People are STUPID. I don't know how anyone could just quit a job without giving any notice. Why in the hell would you want to do that? First of all, do they not know employers ask for employment history & actually call? Do they not know that I could have a factor in getting another job? UGH, so frustrating. I don't care if they want to quit, really I don't... But at least give me the same courtesy as I have given you and at least give me a week notice, don't just call and say I'm Done!!!! PS... This happened to me 4 times in the last 2 months!!!!!

People are CRAZY. Why would you want to spend all your day waiting for a movie? I could see an hour, 2 tops, but all day in 100 degree weather? Wow...

People have amazing HEARTS. Although I have seen craziness, I have seen people that have the biggest hearts. People that gave up something just to make someone else happy! People that would do anything just to see someone else smile.

I am grateful that I have amazing family and friends that helped me get through this Summer. Without you all to vent to, I wouldn't have made it!!!!!!!

Wow.....

I am totally a slacker! I have been so busy that I have neglected my blog..... My friends said so, lol.....

So, tonight.... I am changing that! Today I am going to write about Shit.....

Not literally..... but really, all our lives are filled with it.... We have our families (not shit) our friends (again, not shit) and our work (no comment)!!!!!!!

We all have our things going on, but we need to remember the good in our lives..... The family.... The friends...... The fun!!!!!

Some of us have forgotten to have fun (yes I am talking about me!)...... We need to remember to breath.... We need to remember to have fun!!!!!!!! If we can't do that... Then why are we living?????

                                                        - Biggest Loser 5K 2011

We did it! All of team Aqua finished the 5K in under an hour! This might not sound impressive, but..... 1 Team Member popped her knee out of place and torn all the ligaments the night before, another had bronchitis, and I was working off of 2 1/2 hours of sleep. Oh and don't forget that it was like 40 degrees, then it sprinkled, then it snowed oh and the last 15 minutes it down poured!!

It was such an amazing experience. I loved seeing all the "Biggest Loser" contestants and loved watching the determination on all 600 participants... 

Thanks for all of the support! I can't wait for the next one!!!!!!!!!

I was soaking wet, and sad that it was over! Excited that I finished it though...

Ultimate Failure

I realized today that I am the most ultimate failure of blog writing. I haven't had any "Hollerings" for a year. FAIL. 

So, today we are going to turn a new leaf. I am going to blog about doing a 5K!!!! Yes, I said that correctly, my fat a$$ is going to do a 5K with my girls on Saturday. 

I am so excited/terrified all at the same time. I know I won't be able to run the entire thing, but.... It's on my "Bucket List" and I am going to do it!!!! 

A big shout out to all my girls that are taking this challenge with me, YOU ROCK!!!! 

So, if you are out in the Ivins area on Saturday and you see a group of ladies young and older in Aqua shirts... Say Hello :)

So I failed....

Ok, so this new years resolution has failed miserably!!! I was doing so good too... But with work, kids, and family stuff, it is just so hard to fit it into my schedule.... SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... I make a new resolution.... To post a new post ONCE a week, instead of everyday!!!

PS. On the up side... I bought a new laptop yesterday. My other one wouldn't keep charged, so now I have this wonderful new one... YAY ME

Day 17- Friends

Tonight we went to my Aunt Vickies for dinner! We ate, caught up with friends that were in from SLC, and it was just a wonderful night!!!!!

Day 14- ER Visit

As I got home from a meeting for work (6:45ish), I walked in the door, ready to eat my wonderful boyfriends BBQ roast- when I was stopped to look at Cadyns shoulder. He fell at school this morning, yes this morning, and it was hurting him. He can barely lift his arm up. So, I grab my keys and pack up Cade and head back out the door.

We arrive at the hospital at 7pm, register and sit and wait for our name to be called. Luckily for us it wasn't all that long, which was nice. We get into the room (which is the one that we seem to always get, like they have Cades name written on the door or something,lol), and wait again. The doctor comes in and takes a look at his arm, orders an x-ray, and off he goes.

So, now we are sitting in the room waiting again... X-ray shows up, we go take 3 pictures of various positions of his shoulder (scapula to be precise), and head to to our lovely room.

A 1/2 hour of Worlds Most Outrageous Police Chases, and 1/2 hour of Cops, and 1 full episode of Hannah Montana later, the doctor finally comes in to tell us the news.........

No fracture found. Well, that he could see at least, so he is going to have the radiologist take a look at it tonight, and call us tomorrow if there really is something there.

2 hours at the hospital, and we are finally on our way home. I can smell the roast as I drive... I walk into my house, starving, and waiting for this delicious piece of meat, and what do I find?????????????????????

2 Pieces left, no potatoes... WTH??????

I guess Gareth had some unexpected company, and they decided that they wanted some. Oh well, at least I got to have 1 piece and Cade got one..... *Sigh*

Day 13- 80's Flashback

Last night my sister and I laid in her bed and listened to 80's music! We haven't had that much fun in a long time. We sang (Badly), laughed and had a great night!!

Day 12- Sister Love

First of all, I am starting to feel better (Thank Goodness)!!!!

So, I am in Salt Lake with my lovely sister Jamie. We are sitting on her bed, listening to music and just catching up on the last few months. This is so precious to me, since I don't get to see her enough. Although, I can't believe that I am missing Biggest Loser and American Idol, but I guess she is worth it, lol......

Cadyn has a OI Clinic at Shriners tomorrow, then we are back in STG tomorrow night.... Wish us luck :)

I had a meeting at 7:45 this morning... Had to work at 3..... Am coming down with a cold..= Very.Long.Day.... UGH Stupid cold

Day 8- Is Anyone there?

Gareth informed me that no one is really reading this, so why am I updating it daily? Well, I assured him that I do have readers, and that it was the one thing that I can actually accomplish as a New Years Resolution!!!

So, tonight after working a long day, with a 7:45am meeting tomorrow, here I am updating my "hopeless" little blog (if nothing more then to prove a point, lol).

3. Outback Cheese Fries (Heart attack on a plate, but oh so good!)

5. Grey's Anatomy (Yes, I am addicted!)
6. The Biggest Loser (I love to see them succeed, and it gives me motivation!)
7. People Magazine (I love to know that stars are real people too!)
8. Facebook (I know I should be doing laundry, but FB is a lot more fun!)
9. Blogging (Even if no one is reading, I have to do it, lol)
10. Alcohol (Beer is proof God loves Us~ Benjamin Franklin)

Day 4- OUCH

So, today I decided not to do a "Quote of the Day". I have instead decided that I would vent about my back... Yes, you heard me right. I want to complain about my back.

Ok, here is the story.....

As all of you know, I had to work on Christmas day (sucks, I know... but what do you do). While at work, doing I don't know what... I hurt my back. I guess this is some sort of Karma for working on a day where I should be with my family!!

Of course over the next couple of days of working, it has continually gotten worse.

Fast forward to last night... Gareth decided that he would try and help me, and was putting pressure on my back and giving me a massage (well, I don't think you call it a massage when someone is poking you and drilling all their weight on you), and I thought I was going to die....

The rest of the night, my right leg was numb, my back hurt and today- I woke up with not only a back that could hardly straighten, but a bruise on my butt from said earlier massage!!!!!!!

UGH.... Gotta keep smiling though, because their is always someone else worse off... (I hope :( )
